Inspired by the serene forests and sacred symbolism associated with Kanha, the Kanha Kala Cotton Bhujodi Weave Stole – Designer Edit is a contemporary interpretation of Kutch's weaving heritage. Handwoven from indigenous Kala Cotton, this exclusive piece brings together traditional Bhujodi craftsmanship with a refined designer sensibility, creating a textile that is both deeply rooted in mythology and unmistakably modern.
The stole is woven in a rich medley of maroon, olive, and dark navy blue—a palette that evokes dense forests, fertile earth, twilight skies, and the timeless colours of the Indian landscape. Across the textile, traditional Damru and Chaumukh motifs are thoughtfully integrated into the weave. The Damru, the sacred drum of Lord Shiva, represents the rhythm of creation, transformation, and the eternal cycle of existence. Paired with the geometric Chaumukh motif, the composition bridges spiritual symbolism with the precise geometry that defines Bhujodi weaving.
Despite its ancient inspiration, the Kanha Designer Edit possesses a distinctly contemporary character. Its clean lines, balanced colour transitions, and graphic motifs make it a versatile textile that seamlessly complements modern wardrobes while preserving the integrity of traditional craftsmanship.
Created by a designer, artist, and master craftsperson, this stole reflects the possibilities that emerge when heritage is approached through a contemporary design lens.
At HOAN, we believe craft is a living language—one that evolves without losing its roots. The Kanha Designer Edit embodies this philosophy, where mythology, indigenous fibre, and masterful weaving come together to create a timeless work of wearable art.
