Collection: Ajrakh Sarees
Naturally Dyed Ajrakh Sarees
Our Ajrakh sarees are created using the timeless craft of Ajrakh, where complex geometric patterns are printed entirely by hand through a meticulous process of resist printing and natural dyeing.
Using hand-carved wooden blocks, artisans print the fabric layer by layer, with each stage followed by careful washing and dyeing using natural ingredients such as indigo, madder, and iron. The process can take several days, sometimes weeks, allowing the colours to develop their characteristic depth and richness.
Known for its symmetry, earthy palette, and meditative rhythm, Ajrakh carries centuries of textile knowledge from the desert regions of Kutch. Each saree reflects this legacy — where craft, patience, and natural materials come together to create a textile that feels both grounded and enduring.
At House of Amayra, these Ajrakh sarees are chosen for their authenticity and quiet elegance — textiles meant to be worn, lived in, and cherished over time.
Rooted, never costumed.
