Why You’ll Love It

  • Inspired by Jupiter (Bṛhaspati) — the planet of wisdom, growth, and prosperity in Indian cosmology
  • Crafted using authentic Ajrakh hand block printing by master artisans of Kutch
  • Dyed exclusively with traditional natural colours — no synthetic dyes
  • Reversible Ajrakh stole, printed and dyed on both sides
  • A timeless, meaningful textile designed for conscious luxury

Natural Colour Story (Ajrakh Dyes)

All colours in this stole are created using age-old natural dye recipes:

  • Indigo Blue — extracted from the indigo plant, symbolising depth and celestial knowledge
  • Ecru — the natural shade of unbleached cotton
  • Maroon — achieved using madder root (Manjistha), associated with ritual and wisdom
  • Black — created using a traditional blend of iron oxide and jaggery, fermented to achieve depth and permanence

These natural dyes evolve gently over time, giving the stole a lived-in, heirloom quality.

Craft & Heritage

  • Made using the Ajrakh resist-dyeing technique, practiced for over 1,000 years
  • Printed with hand-carved wooden blocks
  • Involves multiple stages of resist printing, natural dyeing, washing, and sun-drying
  • Crafted entirely by hand in Kutch, Gujarat

Artisan Time & Human Effort

  • 30–35 hours of skilled artisan labour per stole
  • Spread across 14–18 days of slow, precise processes
  • Each piece is one of a kind, shaped by climate, water, and human touch
