Rooted in the enduring beauty of Ajrakh, the Badam Dupatta celebrates one of the craft’s most ancient block traditions through a palette of indigo and mustard yellow. Crafted in soft cotton and naturally dyed, this dupatta takes its name from the badam—the almond-shaped motif that has long held a place in Ajrakh’s visual language. Across the body, ancient geometric and floral blocks unfold in a rhythmic composition, creating a textile that feels both storied and striking.
The rich indigo brings depth and calm, while the warm mustard yellow adds brightness and an earthy glow. Together, the colours evoke desert skies, sunlit landscapes, and the timeless warmth of naturally dyed cloth. The body of the dupatta features a beautiful arrangement of classic Ajrakh motifs, while the border introduces delicate floral detailing and linear patterning that frame the piece with elegance and structure.
Printed by hand using traditional Ajrakh block-printing techniques, each dupatta is shaped through a meticulous process of resist printing, layering, and natural dyeing. The cotton fabric offers breathability, softness, and an easy drape, making it a versatile textile for both everyday wear and special occasions.
At HOAN, we honour the depth of traditional craftsmanship while creating pieces that remain timeless, wearable, and full of story. The Badam Dupatta is a reflection of that philosophy—heritage carried forward through cloth.
